Open Letter to Congressman Steve Buyer 4th District Indiana
Dear Mr. Buyer:
As you know radio station WILO has extended several invitations for you to appear on our North Central Indiana town meeting program to enable ‘the people’ to realize the true meaning of representative government. That invitation still stands.
As a member of the Fourth Estate we see our obligation to keep the people informed. This is the way our country works.
As you know your opponent Mr. Nels Ackerson has given his views and told the people why he should be their representative. We plan on having Mr. Ackerson as a guest more times between now and November 2nd. Mr. Ackerson has no problem making his thoughts known to this 4th Congressional District. We deem it even more important that you, as our sitting representative, do likewise.
Mr. Buyer the people of the 4th District have entrusted you to represent them in Washington. Given the problems and uncertainties in today’s world…troubled economic times, high gasoline and food prices, inflation, our country at war on two fronts, we believe the people deserve to know how their elected representatives stand on issues that impact their lives.
They need to decide which one of you they will return to represent them in the next Congressional term.
Congressman Buyer, we believe ‘the people of the 4th district’ deserve a communicative representative. That is what representative government is all about.
We, the people have reached our hand out to you. What say you?
Respectfully,
Vern Kaspar C.E.O. Kaspar Broadcasting Group
